Jolliffe
The Jolliffe Book (Sungravure Pty. Ltd, 1972? series) has been grouped as part of a series of titles with related contents.
Saltbush Bill first appeared in "Pix" magazine in late 1944 as a weekly feature. The first Saltbush Bill book appeared a year later. Until the 1960s, Jolliffe's Saltbush Bill and Witchetty's Tribe were published in separate series. Around 1970, a new series, Jolliffe's Outback Cartoons & Australiana, began at issue #87 (or #88). This numbering appears to be recognition of the prior 86 issues, including 45 issues of Saltbush Bill and 41 issues of Witchetty's Tribe. Publication was initially anually, later increasing up to four books in one year. Issues #87-#96 are reported to have been printed in low numbers.
