Fatty Finn's Weekly (Sydney Newspapers Ltd., 1934 series) has been grouped as part of a series of titles with related contents.

Syd Nicholls' and Stan Clements' Fatty Finn's Weekly, the first weekly Australian comic, launched 20 May 1934. It was a black and white, eight page tabloid with comics and text. Nicholls contributed Fatty Finn and a center-spread strip called "Forest of Fear". Other comics included Basso the Bear (Hartmut Lahm), Pospsy Penguin (Hartmut Lahm) and Ossie (by George Little). The comic struggled and Nicholls sought to expand by approaching the Australian Women's Weekly, which took over publication with volume 2 in November 1934. The size increased to sixteen pages, a red tint was added to the covers and centrespread, and the price increased from 1d to 2d. The US strip, Brick Bradford was added, but the other additional pages were text features only. Nicholls disagreed with the direction, including use of the US strip Brick Bradford, and left. The struggling comic folding in early 1935.
