"Kid Koala" is a group of three titles with continued numbering.

An issue of Kid Koala was promoted in The Sun (Sydney) on Tuesday 21 December 1943 as "A new strip character… making his first appearance in Sydney. The creation of artist Reg Hicks, 'Kid Koala' has many adventures, and often wanders far from the traditional gumtree setting. These adventures make a quaint little book, which is selling at all newsvendors, price 6d."

It was again mentioned Sunday 6 February 1944 "the creation of Mr. R. E. Hicks, whose 'Adventures of Tightrope Tim' you follow every Sunday in 'Sunbeams.'"
