Frank Johnson New Zealand

Danger Comics (Wilson & Horton Ltd., 1945?) has been grouped as part of a series of related series of one-shots.

During the mid-1940s, a number of pocket-sized one-shot titles were published in New Zealand with comics from Australia's Frank Johnson Publications. The early issues are unnumbered, with later issues numbered but with unique titles. The stories are likely to all be reprints, with unique covers either locally drawn or created from existing Australian material.

Victory Comics #6 includes "W&H Ltd." at the bottom of a page. This is assumed to be Wilson & Horton, publisher of the New Zealand Herald and Auckland Weekly News. The company also published books, magazines, posters, postcards, souvenir booklets and other ephemera. While no other comics publishing has been definitively confirmed, Wilson & Horton could be this series' publisher. However it may just be the printer, as it was for Jack Raeburn's 'Sparkles' and 'Tiny Folks'.
