'Korkeajännitys' means 'high excitement', a wordplay on 'korkeajännite', meaning 'high voltage'--hence the tagline: 'Iskee kuin miljoona volttia' meaning 'Strikes like a million volts'. The magazine initially contained a range of detectives, science fiction, spy and adventure stories from Fleetway's Super Detective Library and Thriller Picture Library. From the 1960s, it focused on war stories from Fleetway's War Picture Library, Battle Picture Library, War at Sea Picture Library. From the late 1960s, it almost exclusively reprinted Commando stories.
