The radio serial The Search for the Golden Boomerang began on 15 April 1941, broadcast 6.15pm every Tuesday to Thursday around Australia on stations such as 2UW, 2KO, 2GZ, 3CV, 3SR, 4MK, 7HO and 7DY (see http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article99936665 and http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article113019344). It ran until at least 1948.

This serial was parodied by Emile Mercier in his comic series 'The Search for the Golden Wombat'.
