On the 1. July 1986 A/S Interpresse and Carlsen Forlag A/S merges into SEMIC Forlagene A/S, but continues to use their existing publishing company names - until 1. January 1991 were these are separated into two companies again - Semic Interpresse and Carlsen. Focus was now mainly on magazines, while Carlsen did albums and books.
