Henry John Edwards was born in Victoria in 1913. He worked as business manager for K. G. Murray before forming his own company, initially a partnership a Peter Huston Publishing and subsequently as H John Edwards Co. Pty. Ltd. The line included original Australian material and reprints of Archie, Fiction House and Standard comics. Other companies listed in these comics include Action Comics Pty. Ltd. and Popular Publications Pty. Ltd. H. John Edwards Publishing Co. Pty. Limited was formally liquidated in 1986.
