Some Penerbit Cypress comics published around 1980 are sourced from Australian printings, including comics from KG Murry (DC reprints such as Superman and Batman, and Hanna-Barbera properties) and Magazine Management (Dell, Western and Harvey reprints such as Sad Sack, Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Little Audrey, Jumbo). There are also indications of reprints from Yaffa/Page publications (Archie, Marvel).
Evidence is found in covers using distinctive Australian titles, logos, layouts and/or colouring.
Cypress comics at this time are often unofficial bootlegs. The Australian comics were probably used as source material without permission. Later Cypress comics are reported to officially authorised printings.
