This issue is commonly dated to 1951, although there does not seem to be hard evidence for this date.
Les Such was doing Buster Braddock for Fatty Finn in 1946-1947. These were reprinted around 1948-1949 by New Century Press. At this time, Such also did work for Action Comics and started a long run of western pulp covers for Invincible, through until at least 1953. These were mostly paintings. In 1954, Such took over the Lone Avenger when Lawson was imprisoned. While it is possible Such drew this during the period he was doing pulp western covers, the comic looks like it dates to an earlier period.
