This is a children's book, not a comic. Tippy Runs Away was first published by Jolly Books, New York, in 1952. The book was originally published under the title, Tippy, in Read-to-me storybook compiled by the Child Study Association of America, 1947. Copyright on illustrations is Avon Publishing Co., Inc. Avon published comics from the mid-1940s to the mid-1950s, including some comics reprinted in Australia by Shakespeare Head (western) and Malian Press (romance).
