This is a comic-format recruitment publication for the Commonwealth Directorate of Recruiting. It included a letter explaining the recruitment drive, titled 'A vital message to every Australian from Lieutenant-General the Hon. Sir Edmund Herring'.
One million copies of this comic were printed. It generated strong protest to the education department about its distribution, amid claims it was not intended for schools (ttp://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article209827810; nla.gov.au/nla.news-article23055204).
