The animated film Brave Little Tailor was released 23 September 1938. The original US book was published by Whitman Publishing Co in 1939.
Collins is not a common publisher for Walt Disney products. The earliest Australian publisher was John Sands Ltd. Walter Rogan (WR) Granger worked on the Disney account at John Sands and left by the end of October 1939 to become General Manager of the newly created Walt Disney Mickey Mouse A'sia Pty Ltd. That company licenced this publication to Collins. Subsequent Disney publications were by Ayers and James, before WG Granger took over.
