Ramón Torrents Spain

Biography

Ramón Torrents was born in Barcelona and attended several art schools from the age of fourteen. He began working as a designer of decorations for glass objects before entering the field of comics.

He joined Selecciones Ilustradas in 1956. His first work, inked by Florenci Clavé, was published in France. After that he contributed works to UK publishers of Boyfriend, Mirabelle, Jackie, Love Story Library and other British magazines.

In the late 1960s, Torrents participated in the creation of Esteban Maroto's Cinco x Infinito. From 1971 his work was published in US horror comics, initially Skywald's Psycho and Nightmare, then in Warren's Vampirella, Eerie and Creepy.

After the 1970s, Torrents left the comics field.
