Herbert Young Australia
Biography
Young was Art Supervisor for KG Murray's Man Junior in the fifties. Young and colleagues Maurice Cork and Eric Maguire were responsible for most of the art design in the company's magazines. He also provided a range of illustrations.
He collaborated with Marcia McEwan on the schoolboy adventure strip 'Danny Martin'. It ran 21 half-page colour weekly strips in Sydney's Sunday Herald from 1 April 1951. The story focused on a group of schoolboys who thwart an attempt by German spies to take over Cliff College, a private boarding school near Sydney.
