Biography

Skrenes first professional work was writing horror and romance stories for DC Comics in the early 1970s.

She co-creator Omega the Unknown with Steve Gerber for Marvel Comics, and worked on other Marvel characters such as Defenders and Guardians of the Galaxy. She created and was the inspiration for Beverly Switzler, Howard the Duck's companion.

Skrenes published horror stories for DC as Virgil North and collaborated with Steve Skeates (uncredited) on a number of mystery stories.

Skrenes wrote several episodes of Jem, GI Joe and Transformers in the 1980s.
