Biography
Roberts is often credited as the originator of 'the butler did it' style of mystery writing.
Her play The Bat was released as a silent film in 1926, remade as The Bat Whispers in a 1930 talkie. Bob Kane credits The Bat as an inspiration for the creation of Batman.
