Eddie Brooker France
Biography
French writer Brooker approached Peter Chapman when he was working at Frank Johnson publications.
Brooker worked on early issues of The Invisible Avenger (Illustrated Publications) and The Phantom Ranger (Frew). Chapman reported "Brooker would use a translator to turn his stories into English, but he [Brooker] used too many words, which would ‘kill’ the story.” Chapman ultimately took over writing both series.
Brooker was employed as a writer on the Daily Mirror newspaper.
