Super Boy was published from October 1949 until May 1986. It was initially an anthology aimed at boys, but increasingly focused on science fiction and gained its title character in issue 112, December 1958. This period is referred to as a "second series", although there no break in publishing continuity, just a revamp. The title character has no link to DC's Superman: he is the son of a scientist who protects Earth against super-villains and alien threats in the near-future. The series included many Spanish imports through its run. See the series record for Super Boy at AusReprints.
