Scansion #15 (14 October 1954), Sydney-based weekly science fiction new sheet, reports "the latest issue of 'Future' is out… with stories by Australian authors Norma Hemming, F.B. Bryning and John Vile. Glad to see this policy and hope it continues. It is not so hard to get American magazines or BREs that a policy of reprints is justifiable in Australia now." In Etherline #38 (21 October 1954), a fortnightly AFPA publications, the Melbourne News for a meeting on 14 October reports "The Group was very happy to see three Australian in Future Science Fiction, and congratulate Norma Hemming, John Vile, and Frank Bryning most warmly."
